There are options for freestanding cabinets – an elegant look that can be a great way to display trinkets if you opt for a glass number – as well as some more integrated into the overall bathroom design. You needn't choose something whose sole function is as a bathroom cabinet- pantry cupboards and antique display cabinets can really liven up the space as they inject a little of the unexpected.
If you have a bigger space, a glazed wooden cabinet or old linen press can look great. You could also go for something more squat which will allow you to build a bit of a decorative tableau on top with a plant, baskets of products, nice decorative bits like candles or shells. If you have a smaller space with less room for standing storage, something wall hung will be more suitable. A mirrored cabinet over a sink is great, or if you have a decorative mirror over your sink you're probably going to need some wall mounted storage elsewhere.
